Cottages
The four Grasmere holiday cottages offer a scenic base in the Lake District. Nestled within a converted farmyard, it’s just a short stroll to the village. With instant access to fell and valley walks, they are perfect for exploring the area. They have three 4-star self-catering cottages and a gold-rated apartment. Each retains genuine features with modern touches and stunning views. Ranging in size, they welcome couples, families, and even pets. Enjoy the convenience of a key code entry system. While self-catered, the bistro is nearby for breakfast, packed lunches, or a break from cooking. Enjoy your evening meal in the bistro or have it brought to your door.
Green Ethos
The Yan grows seasonal fruit and veg on their own farm and uses them in the dishes. They source the meat locally, including lamb from neighbouring farms. Grasmere Brewery supplies the beer, gin, and vodka, using donated hops from local farmers. They compost food waste and reuse cooking oil. They avoid single-use plastic, even opting for cardboard cartons for water. All cleaning chemicals and detergents are eco-friendly.
Supporting the local area
Supporting the local area is a top concern. The Yan works with Cumbrian suppliers and small family businesses. You can donate to a charity via a QR code in the lounge or add it to your booking. They also recycle old appliances and furniture in the local area.
