If you are a party of 4 or more and would like to talk to us about 2021, please get in touch.

Huge, fine white sandy beaches, deserted bays with crystal clear, warm water. Bright blue skies day after day, gorgeous food.

No wonder the island is often referred to as ‘ The Caribbean in the Med ‘.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival Day
Pick up from Olbia airport.  15 minute ride to your hotel complex.

The hotel’s coastal location ensures superb views for the start of our journey. During our briefing, please feel free to enjoy one of the great wines from this island.

Dinner and night at a hotel.

Day 2 – Sea Kayaking day from Pittulongu Beach to Bianca Beach
Buffet breakfast.

All the areas we paddle have their own distinct variety of beauty. The first paddling day consists of a warm up trip in and out of stunning little coves, many of which are deserted apart from our party. Distance, as always, depends on the group’s ability and weather conditions.

Packed lunch and dinner and night at a hotel.

Day 3 – Sea Kayaking day from le Saline Beach to Porto Istana
Buffet breakfast.

We glide past another stunning area packed with breathtaking beaches, bays, and inlets. The beautiful Porto Istana has often been rated the number one attraction around Olbia. Crystal clear turquoise waters and soft white sand always welcome us. No matter how far we travel, the water is warm, the coast is rugged, and the bays are beautiful.

Packed lunch and dinner and night at a hotel.

Day 4 – Transfer to Golfo di Orosei and visit of Ispinigoli grotto
Buffet breakfast. Transfer to the home region of Patrizia’s mother.

It’s not just the family connection that draws us here. It’s the Supramonte beauty and its soaring limestone peaks and canyons that skirt the Golfo di Orosei, the favorite area of outlaws in years past. After our lunch at the hotel, mentioned in many of the best Italian food and wine guides, we visit the Ispinigoli grotto. The enormous cavern is simply stunning.

Dinner and night at a hotel.

Day 5 – Sea Kayaking from Cala Gonone to Cala Luna and back
Buffet breakfast.

Today the beautiful Cala Fruili and the sea caves backed by steep cliffs await. We paddle on transparent, crystal clear, brilliantly blue water. A coast dotted with beaches intertwined with soaring cliffs is on today’s menu. Cala Luna, a long, fine sand beach studded with grottoes, is also in our plans for today’s paddle before coming back to Cala Gonone for our well-deserved relaxing evening at the hotel.

Packed lunch, dinner at a local restaurant and night at a hotel.

Day 6 – Hiking Gorropu Gorge
Buffet breakfast.

A day off the water. Don’t worry, we’ll soon be back on it but Sardinia has so much to offer we really want you to leave knowing that you saw the very best parts of it.  We enjoy a wine tasting before coming back to our hotel.

Packed lunch and dinner and night at a hotel.

Day 7 – Breakfast with the Shepherd and transfer to Maddalena Island
Today we have an early start for an in depth opportunity to discover the Sardinian culture. You spend time with friendly, open people who tell you about their profession and how they find it extremely gratifying, even without breaks and holidays.

Tour of “Cuiles” (Old Shepherd House) and bird watching with packed lunch.

Driving northward along the coast, we enjoy a different perspective of the beautiful blue sea, rolling hills, and ancient ruins. Even from a distance, it’s clear to see why this area is regarded as offering some of the best kayaking in the whole Mediterranean. Conditions allowing, we launch at Porto Rafael and paddle across to the island, disembarking at the town of La Maddalena itself, our home for the next two days.

Dinner at a local restaurant on the island and night at a B&B.

Day 8 – Sea Kayaking La Maddalena
Buffet breakfast.

Often described as the ‘Caribbean of the Mediterranean’, there are islands, coves, beaches, cliffs, and superb restaurants here. All you’d love on a sea kayak trip, this place provides.

Today we kayak the northwest coast of Isola Della Maddalena, stopping to swim at small beaches. After a short hike, we have a view of the coastline, smaller islands of the archipelago, and the mountains of Corsica visible in the distance across the Bonifacio Strait. After wrapping up another great paddling day, we return to the comfort of our B&B before dinner out in La Maddalena’s historic centre.

Packed lunch.

Day 9 – Sea Kayaking Caprera
Buffet Breakfast.

The reason Garibaldi chose this as his home becomes obvious when you experience the sheer beauty of the island and its surrounding area. With crystal clear water, amazing rock formations, and white sand beaches, Isola di Caprera epitomizes the best of the host of Sardinian kayaking destinations. Strategically significant for centuries, the island is dotted with fortresses — some ancient, some recent.

Packed lunch, dinner at a local restaurant on the island, and night at a B&B.

Day 10 – Transfer to Olbia Airport
Buffet breakfast.

All good things come to an end. Please feel free to keep your memories alive by sharing with friends and family back home just how exquisite Sardinia is.
