Winter paddling on Ullswater

A few things happen when the clocks go back.

1. Gift Vouchers are once again available as a Christmas ( or anytime of the year ) gift. Valid up until 31st October 2024.

2. The trips go from two a day to one a day. Usually meeting time is 10 am, but this is flexible upon request.

3. The heated gloves that are always popular, are offered as part of the kit again.

4. Ullswater, a beautiful place at any time of the year, comes into its own in winter. Snow topped fells, virtually empty lake, apart from us, usually one or two more sea kayakers or other paddlers. An intrepid paddle boarder or two, the Steamers and those swans that don’t depart on their winter holidays.
